Trevoh Chalobah playing for England

The Chelsea star followed his sibling Nathaniel in playing for England, becoming the twenty-first duo of siblings to play for the England side.

The Chelsea defender is set to be added to the Three Lions selection to replace injured Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.

The 26-year-old is scheduled to join the national side for England's remaining World Cup qualifying matches against Serbia and Albania, although it has not yet been confirmed.

The England team have already qualified for the upcoming competition.

Chalobah was given his first selection under England head coach Thomas Tuchel in the month of May and then earned his first cap against Senegal.

In the month of September, Tuchel stated Chalobah was unlucky to be excluded from the selection for qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia, and also did not select him for the subsequent October international break.

Tuchel has been an key presence in Chalobah's progress, having given him his Chelsea first-team bow in 2021.

Chalobah has appeared in nearly all matches for Chelsea in the current campaign, with the team occupying third spot in the English top flight, in the EFL Cup last eight and in the group stage of the European competition.

Guehi picked up a foot injury in Crystal Palace's Europa Conference League victory over the Dutch side recently.

There are set to be further inclusions to the squad. Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe has said that both winger Anthony Gordon (hip injury) and goalkeeper Nick Pope (concussion symptoms) will be unavailable from the squad.
