'Trapped in a Dreadful Dream': Relatives of Unaccounted For Teens Desperately Seek Information After Alpine Fire
The relatives of young people unaccounted for after a tragic fire at a bar in a Swiss ski resort are facing an excruciating wait for answers and appealing for clues about their loved ones publicly.
The inferno engulfed the a popular bar in the alpine resort, located in the mountains of south-west Switzerland, in the middle of the night of New Year's Day. Verified video show the ceiling being engulfed in flames as beverages with fireworks are held aloft.
Officials have stated that it could take days if not weeks to formally name the victims of the tragedy, which killed 40 people and injured another scores more. A spokesperson said on Friday that 113 of the injured have been accounted for, with efforts continuing to identify the other six.
In the meantime, relatives have been taking to online platforms to appeal for information about their missing relatives who were present at the venue that fateful night.
Appeals for the Unaccounted For
The fate of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, 16, are not yet determined, according to an appeal from his family.
