Intensive Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Electricity In Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities under attack in Ukraine
Ukraine's energy systems have come under escalating strikes in the past few days

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have caused electricity outages in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were hurt while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and faced problems to water supplies, according to municipal leaders.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, as reported by local officials.

Moscow has escalated attacks on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has called for "substantial measures" from partner nations to increase pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not window dressing but strong steps - from the US, the EU and the major economies - in delivering defensive weapons and applying sanctions," he wrote in a social media post.

Officials stated that 450 drones and more than 30 rockets attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Russia was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were working to restore power.

A wave of strikes hit electrical systems and civilian homes in the capital.

Five out of the nine people injured in the strikes on the capital have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by local officials.

Area administrators said the urban area came under heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A young boy lost their life and several individuals were wounded.

The strikes succeed periods of aerial attacks in the territory, sections of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

The whole nation is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to spot.

Authorities told the media that Moscow was purposely seeking to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with assaults already disrupting gas facilities.

Officials stated energy workers and government agencies were preparing for further attacks.
