Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming bout.
Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really going ahead.
