Devastated HK Inhabitants Shocked as Large-Scale Inferno Engulfs Housing Blocks

Student a local student was among the many people drawn to the scene of a deadly blaze that ravaged significant parts of the eight-block residential estate in the city's northern district.

A minimum of over three dozen people have lost their lives in Wednesday's devastating fire currently, with hundreds still missing, suggesting that this number will possibly grow.

"It's a tragedy," the student commented about the incident, noting that he had witnessed a body being removed from the area.

More than a thousand additional residents were required to vacate the estate as the blaze advanced, with many heading to temporary centers that have been organized to house them.

The blaze is gradually being contained, but emergency responders state they cannot determine when it will be completely eliminated.

Fire could be witnessed emanating from separate homes as many people observed in stillness.

"I'm devastated. There are so numerous neighbours and friends. I cannot comprehend what is going on now. Look, all the units are just ablaze. I do not know what to achieve. I pray the government can assist us to rebuild after this."

A local woman mentioned that her acquaintances dwell inside the structure and she was waiting to discover if they succeeded to evacuate.

A long-term resident, who has resided in building number two of the housing complex for in excess of four decades years, mentioned listening to "a tremendous explosion" and seeing fire break out in a close structure.

The resident noted that she had been provided minimal direction from the local administration on where to seek assistance.

Several Tai Po community members had provided supplies to the victims - comprising many of blankets and thermal aids.

Upon questioning about their emotions regarding the tragedy, locals expressed that "the government is incompetent" and that they were "immensely distraught".

"We hope not to see any further fatalities," remarked an individual.

An elderly lady who resides in one of the affected blocks stated she was not at home when the fire ignited but that she is worried about her home because it is uninsured.

"I'm profoundly upset that I have no home to go to now," she concluded.
